That's very cool. But you never caught up to that 914? Did you guys pass him? That would have been nice to see.

That was the next to last lap of the session. We did not have a chance to get by him during that session.

This weekend we will post more in-car video of the car running with the Viper Club this Friday, March 16th at Buttonwillow Raceway. If anyone is in the area, come on by and say hello. Let's see how our little motor matches up against those big snakes!

@ Bill,

Have you guys put in the 3rd radiator and the 'S'/996 oil cooler since it's a track car?

For better cooling we have added the 996 center radiator.

Here are some pictures. The install was pretty easy. At the same time we fitted up the GT3 nose.

Thanks,

Bill P.

Fun video, awesome pix! Nice job. That looked like lots of fun!

I don't get to see a lot of tracks, but I've explored Laguna Seca before. Because of that, it's one of my favorites on Gran Turismo.

Thumbs up

Very Cool I'm getting that vid off to my son asap...he owns a 914 and a 99' Box...he will love it. Would love to see some more of your adventures! I recently watched a video of a Cayman chasing a Viper, and totally catching up on the corners, so good luck with the "snakes" this week-end!!! Wish I could be there

Center Radiator

Hey Bill,
You know where can I find a DIY on placing a center radiator on the 2.5L? It looks fairly easy and I'd like to try it too. Also, where did you get your GT bumper cover? Thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

I used this article to help me with the center radiator install. It was a pretty straightforward setup. One thing I did do was disconnect the A/C condensors from radiators and pulled them away from the radiators and supported them with jackstands. I didn't disconnect the A/C fittings. This allowed easier access to the radiator lines.

As for the nose, I went to GT Motorport for it.

GT Motorsport

EPIQ Autosport can also help you with sourcing a nose for the car.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Bill P.
