Want to buy: hardtop spinlock mounts and hardtop latch trim piece

Hi 986'ers,

As of today I am the proud new owner of a hardtop for my Boxster, but am seeking the spinlock adapter mounts and the plastic trim piece that covers the latch.

Pic of the spinlock adapters I'm looking for (left, right, and corresponding bolts):

(And for good measure... Pic of my boxster with the new hardtop! )

Thanks, Steve - yeah, I really lucked out. It's technically an ocean blue metallic on my 2001 lapis blue car, but I'm really happy finding such a close match, at the price I found it for. (Even without spinlocks being included...)

If you decide to go the new parts route on these give Sunset Porsche a try. I got both these items there and they had some decent prices. The spin locks are a bit of a rip off but you need them to use the top so they got you.

If you don't mind used ones and act quickly, QualityPorscheParts on ebay has a set of used spinlocks for $45 shipped. Here's the link:

I got mine from them last year this way (paid $30). Every once in a while you'll see a set of these brackets that still have the spinlocks and bolts in them. Cheapest way I know of to get a set... I threw the brackets away after pulling the spinlocks.

Thanks, all - I had a Sunset Porsche virtual shopping cart all filled up and ready to go, when I came across an EBay "stealth" spinlock listing (very similar the one BirdDog linked), and pulled the trigger on it.

If someone else wants to pick up a set of spinlocks on the cheap, the "stealth" set that BirdDog linked above is still available.

On my EBay search for spinlocks, I came across this oddity... seems like a ballstud positioned where the spinlock adapter would usually go.

Just curious; what do you guys make of it?

Looks like someone put in old school studs for fastening a tonneau cover to me. Sort of related, I've seen a lot of eBay listings for the receptacles that the spin locks go into without spinlocks, which always confuses me> Didn't all of these cars come with the receptacles installed from the factory?
