IIRC the buyer will need to have the immobilizer programmed with the serial number of the radio with a PWIS or PST2. The MOST bus radios communicate the security code via the CAN bus and don't use a simple code like the older radios.

If I am incorrect, please let me know

Being a newbie I don't understand the code business but I am definitely interested in the radio. I assume this will fit my 2002 car? What has to be done to change these codes so it will perform? Is that done on your end or mine?

The CDR23 will not work on a 02. 03 is the first year the CDR23 will work as those cars use a MOST system. If you are looking for a stock radio for your car you will need a CDR22 and the seller will need to provide you the security code.
