one press top mode

is anybody selling a smart top module, robo top or comfort top for a 986?

dont want to pay 380$ for a new smartTOP STAXPE1 but love the idea of a one press top mode.

after some research it seems robo top which was the cheapest solution is not available anymore. i PM'd the guy that came up with the comfort top which i think is great and at a reasonable price but not 100% sure he still sells them.

thanks!

Contact thstone via PM. He sells the RoboTop units. I went this route after modding my top relay for move-on-the fly operation. Now I'm one press and liking it a lot.

You may already know this but there's a easy mod to get the comfort top which allow you to put the top up or down while in motion. You can find it on this forum and pedrosgarage.com also has it.

Not sure those mods include the "one touch" feature.

Porsche9, but mine is internally grounded, so I don't have to pull up the e-brake to move the top. Took like 10 minutes.

Yes, pin 18 and pin 15 too, but also a soldered internal ground wire so the relay thinks the e-brake is on. This mod is for 2000+ cars, as the relay pinouts changed with the 2000 model year. I have photos if you'd like to try it. Super easy.

Robotop will be back in stock in 2-3 weeks. Sorry for the delay - spending too much time at the racetrack!

Did I spell that right ?

I have his and it couldn't be simpler, no mods necessary..will even shut off if your speed exceeds 22 to 24 mph while the top is in motion.

No wires to ground or cut...just plug it in

i think its Shehadehd.
PM'd him but no answer back. i think i will go with thstone's robo top. cheaper and i dont mind modifying the top relay so i will get the same effect except for the speed control but i can just be careful

thanks!!

This is the one I used. It is fantastic. It also allows you to put the top in service mode automatically. It's a great mod, and totally plug and play.
