If sale falls through on the rollbar windscreen/grills. I'd be interested in them both. Also are you selling the wheels on the car? thank you

Thank you all parts are priced to sell, as I need to move them quick. I'm running out of room!

I still have the windscreen But the mesh grills are sold. The wheels are currently not for sale. I have shipped the damaged wheel out to be repaired. They may be for sale at a later time.

It will be an interesting project. The boxster is a little over five inches longer then the 70 911. It is also a bit wider, However the pinch welds are almost the same maybe a mm or two off on each side. Other then finding the right place to remove five inches I believe the hardiest part will be to make the rear shock towers fit inside the quarter panels and keeping chassis rigidity. Then there is the issue of retaining cabin space, the engine fire wall will be almost flush with the b pillar. I may still have to stretch the quarter panels an inch or two. My plan is to keep period correct styling wise 73RS with a modern chassis and all the modern tech.

A pic of the 911, please excuse the mess its much worse right now that is an old pic

Almost all the parts have been removed and are read to be shipped. I will also up date with smaller misc parts for sale.

Current pics of the boxster.

You're more adventurous than me! I'm also building a mid-engine 911 RSR, but I'm using a transverse mounted VR6 and O2M transaxle. The VR6 is the same motor that came in the Cayenne, Audi TT and R32. Someone had done something similar to what you're doing, only they used a KarmaGhia. I think someone used a VW Bug too.
Towards the end of this thread What suspension for a mid engine 911? - Page 2 - Pelican Parts Technical BBS there's a guy who stretched his 911 to fit an engine in the middle.

I just remembered I seen your build thread on a VW forum a year or so ago. Did you ever finish it or do you have a new build thread anywhere?

Also I seen the thread you posted its where I got the idea of stretching the q-panels!

NP, The wheel should be back here sometime this week, however it may be a few months before I decide to sell them as I will be using them to mock up my build.

Also a current pic of the car.

If anyone wants to help pull out the windshield its theirs for free. If not it will be $50 assuming I don't break it pulling it out.

I'm embarrassed to say that in the last year all I've done was weld the 930 flares on it and bought the front and rear RSR bumpers along with a whale tail. What started off as a way to pay for a few vehicle projects, has turned into an occupation. Just been too busy. I'm actually thinking about going a different direction and putting a 996 suspension/trans with possible LS power. The VR6 is a wonderful motor, but the aftermarket support for them isn't as large as the LS. I finally got my shop cleared out of all the boxster parts, so hopefully I'll start getting some work done on it soon.
Did you start a build thread on yours?
