want 17X7 wheels

I'm sorry to say I don't own a Boxster, but I do have a good german car. I'm going to upgrade my 1973 Super Bug with 17X7 wheels (yes, they will fit, with some work).

I'm looking for the wheels but will take a good wheel/tire package (the tires I need are limited to 205-40-17 in front and 225-45-17 in back).

I really prefer to look at the wheels 1st, so if your in Los Angeles and have 4 wheels you want to sell, please e-mail me.

That's a good price for 17x7 wheels. I just sold the 17's from my '01 to another Boxster owner for $750.00 and he said that my price was $250 less than any other set he'd looked at. I sold mine without the center caps too.

Thanks, that does sound like a fair price. I just started looking today and will check out a few local places this weekend. Shipping costs may have an inpact.

BTW, 44-55mm offset will all work for me (although 44 will work without spacers).

I know your center caps may cost a bit. Will a center cap be hard to find or is it an easy standard to find?

Check out eBay for center caps. I see them go for $50 to $120 a set there all the time.

i am near LA, i am in palos verdes.
i have the 2000 boxster stock wheels, 17x7, i dont know the offset, i need to look at the wheels. its the stock offset for 2000 boxster wheels.
i took them off my boxster about 6 months ago so it does have some wear and tear, nothing major though.
i got 215-40-17 in the front, 245-40-17 on the rear. the tires are spanking new, less than 100 miles on'em. (i think they are kumho tires)

if you want'em you can pick them this weekend.
my asking price is $500.00. you can save $250 and use it get the wheels reconditioned to look new again. i heard they charge about $50 per wheel.

email me at joekahng@yahoo.com.

i will post a pic of the wheel, it is not mine, i am placing it just to show you what it looks like. its the same design. i will email you the MY wheels when i get home.

be careful because stock boxster wheels are staggered..

17x7 in front and 17x8.5 in rear..

I this buyer doesn't mind staggered (as is stock on any boxster) then no problem

The 4 wheels I have are actually considered front wheels only and I had to buy them individually to get this type of set (actually bought 2 sets of wheels and sold of the back 17x9s individually) -- a long tedious process...

I happen to have color crested oem porsche inlaid center caps I can include for an additional $100 and shipping from me would be around $100 via FedEx ground.

Not sure about California but around here reconditioning a rim is $129 PER wheel/rim as an FYI

Thanks a lot for this. I wouldn't have known to check that ALL of the wheels are 17X7
