Zeintec is running a spring special on the Zeintop right now for $1900+shipping. Comes out to $2350 with shipping inland. I know because, they've been hounding me to purchase one and Graeme contacts me about monthly asking if I'd like to purchase.

What does wing and vents look like?
I have ever seen the side vents and wing. Could you add pictures. Also how much time does it take to install these and the top. I live in Raleigh and would not need shipping if I could just install them and drive back.

Guys... do a search and you can see pictures at the manufacturer's website!

Holy crap! How many people on here have said time and again that they would buy one of these if they just weren't so damn expensive (used to be about $4,000)? Lots of people said they would get one if the pricing was this low. It will be interesting to see if they're lining up now. I just sent Zeintec a price quote request on their website. Doing that automatically enters you into a chance to win a $2,000 USD voucher. I've been pretty lucky lately so I'm hoping I simply win a free top!
Still $2,350 shipped is not too bad. I've got a local guy who can do the paint for probably $750 and then I would do the install myself.... I'm going to have to give this one some thought. Their website quotes $2,533 as a rough estimate for a delivered price. Again though there is body shop prep and paint work that would still be required on top of that.

I have the top. If you can live without a cabrio, it is an incredible compliment to a great little car -- more people ask about this car than any of my other rides...and the craftsmanship is unbelievable -- btw, Graeme is a stand-up guy too...willing to go above and beyond.

Guys,
There is a distributor for the Zeintop, wings & vents in South Carolina.
The 986 tops go for about $2400, wing about $450.00
You can call Larry @ 864-325-8606 to get actual prices and availability.

Here's a great & helpful thread about Zeintops on boxa.net, to which I recently added my experiences of installing a Zeintop DIY kit. The experience was about 90% positive.
http://www.boxa.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=35757&hl=zeintop&st=120
I do love the way the car looks with the top, although I'm still adjusting the fit to some extent.

I got my quote on a Zeintop. $2,337 delivered to a port within 3 hours of where I live. That includes the top DIY kit, the main latch, and shipping to the port. Not a bad deal if you ask me!

Kirk, that's for a DIY kit? It's about $350 less than I paid for my DIY kit + latch.
Budget for a company to get the item off the ship, and then delivered to you. Then for spraying it. My guess is you will wind up at $3500-4000 outlay.
As for the assembly and fitting work, I thought it was fun to do, but I know not everyone enjoys building things. The kit is well thought out, but I had a few criticisms.
I'm delighted every time I see my car, it looks so great. The largest functionless splurge I've ever taken, but I don't regret it.
