I use the Maguire's Wheel Brightener and can attest that you need to wash your hands right away if any gets on them. If not, the exposed skin will start to burn.

Not sure it will remove wheel weight glue, however. Just skin. It does a nice job of removing brake dust too.

I'm surprised they would use any concentration of HF acid in a cleaner. We use it at work, extremely nasty chemical, also used to etch glass, so I'm surprised it doesn't harm the finish.

I bought a set of BBS rims sold as an option on the Boxster. They style is similar to the GT3 wheels but not as wide and different offsets. They were I great shape but filthy. I contacted BBS they are 2 piece wheels. Removed the titanium bolts on the outer part of the rim and using a piece of wood and hammer knocked out the black painted center, leaving the barrel to clean. I got a paint brush and applied the orange hand cleaner to the barrel to start. scrubbed with a sponge then used the wet sandpaper to remove rest of dirt and grime. started with 400 grit then worked up to the 2000 grit. then I got the polishing kit with polishing clay and polishing wheels from the kit to do a final finish.
