Well, I took the car out again this weekend and apparently the spoiler is working again, raising and lowering automatically as it should. I didn't have to do anything other than drive it at the appropriate speed which I always love doing. Man I love this car the more i drive it.
I did a viual inspection of the spoiler and noticed that it is slightly askew when in its retracted (down) position. What I mean is that if you are standing at the rear of the car looking down at the top right corner of the spoiler, the seam appears slightly narrower than the left side. There is enough clearance so that nothing is rubbing but definitley less clearance than the left side. When I raised the spoiler and looked at the right side I noticed that the standoff/strut that the spoiler is attached to is slightly loose, meaning I can manually shift it approx 1/8" in all directions. the bolts holding the standoff/strut in place are tight however. The left side is rock solid with no movement. Can the individual standoff/strut thing be replaced? I have a feeling it is the cause of irratic behavior and the seam issue.
Thanks to all that replied.
