Back together, ready to roll
Well the '03 headlights work so I replaced the fender liner which was a minor exercise but after refering to the other wheel well I was able to get the liner back in proper position and secured. Mounted the wheel and off the jack. I took off the covering over the battery and front shock towers planning on doing a dry run on the Schnell shock tower brace as I have heard that others have had problems. After removing the covers I pulled out the pollen filter and found that a rodent had eaten a hole in it and it was rather dirty. I ordered a new one and a new engine air filter from PAP as they had the best price. After dry fitting the brace I went ahead and installed it without issues or bloodshed. I was astonished at how easy a time I had as opposed to my usual 'adventures in auto work' ( I give you my headlight change drama as example). I had no fitting or clearance issues with the battery or anything else. So the car is ready to go and I think I will venture out tomorrow for a little 'global warming' run. I have stainless steel sills to install on both sides but have just about run out of hacks other than a thorough cleaning and waxing. Looking forward to a good spring summer of Boxstering about. Party on!!!!
