Hi,

The Brey-Krause Extinguisher mount is a well made piece and installation is pretty easy 1.5-2.0/10. You usually need to wiggle it a bit because the tolerance on the drillings is very tight, but that's a good thing and it just takes a little patience, it will all line up. You will need to remove the seat, but that's no big thing, loosen 4 torx bolts and disconnect a couple connectors. The later cars use a pyro-techni charge on the Seatbelt retractors, so you will want to disconnect the Battery for at least 5 min. before beginning to avoid setting one off accidentally. You will also need to buy a half dozen SS bolts and nylock nuts to mount the extinguisher bracket to the BK one. Use SS because you don't want to unleash an ankle-breaking missile in the event of a collision.

It took me about 45 min. to install mine at a leisurely pace, but I didn't have to deal with the battery, so maybe 1 hr for you tops. BTW, I used the r-2020 which mounts to either seat - mounted on passenger side, I see that you will use the r-2035 which mounts only to the Driver's seat (even though their example pic shows the Passenger Seat). Good time to consider encasing the Alarm Module since you'll have the seat out anyway - something to consider.

@porsche986spyder - The Boxster does have a history of engine fires. I would never own any mid-engine car (and I own 2) without a Fire Extinguisher (and they both have one). It's just not the smartest idea. I use a Halon extinguisher which leaves no residue to clean up afterwards should you ever need to discharge it. Hope this helps...
