Once you do this, however, you will need to re-adjust the beam of the headlight low beams because they normally face down and then move up as the system self levels. It shows you in the owner's manual how to adjust the beams as well, or you can take it to the dealer and have them adjust them properly. That's all there is to it. Hope this helps.

No doubt the motor's on the way out. I don't think I'll miss it much, BUT is the motor readily visible, do you think?
If it's not too much of a pain (and it's nearly gone anyway) I may fiddle around with it to see if it's "user serviceable".
