well on another forum i found data where they tested a 2.5 stock with just this, as is, and it actually did increase by 6hp.

so i bet w some kind of a shield it will be even better.
but the actual cone filter is right on the intake hole, so its getting a lot of fresh air, pretty much the first thing that it hits as it enters the compartment
