If you have an AGM battery, there will NOT be any vent ports so you do not need to worry about that tube. Most owners w AGMs typically zip tie the tube unto itself or out of the way. Then it's not just flopping around or interfering w/ battery install/removal which is a cumbersome enough task.

PS - Hard to tell, but looks like your battery tray could use some loving... if it's overspray, or dirt fine. If it's previously spilled battery acid corrosion, hit w some baking soda/water to neutralize. Then a quick sanding and rattle can repaint (outside of vehicle of course) will make it look spotless again. Nothing tougher than trying to diagnose issues when previous stains/leaks/etc. are prevalent.
