he's converting his car from using wheel bolts to using studs... aka track studs aka race studs. This is not to be confused w traditional rear press-in lug nut studs (in traditional applications w American cars, etc). Instead these bolt into wheel hub from front side and then lug nuts are used to secure wheel to the stud. They facilitate easier / faster wheel swaps as well as provide better/quicker visual inspection to ensure wheels are firmly secured. And thus why they are typically known as track-studs, race-studs, competition studs, et al.

His question, to help familiarize others, is how far 90mm race studs would protrude... yes past the new lug nuts but also in relation to face of wheel. Is OP doing for aesthetics or tracking often - who knows but sounds like they have a plan and good for them.
