And since the hub is threaded and designed to hold a bolt, i'm not sure how he is going to install press in Studs if that is his desire.

I think that You misunderstood the question. Screw in studs are a thing and lots of track car Boxsters use them.

The answer will vary slightly depending on which wheels and which brand of stud. Mine have a significant spacer, so I didn't have an easy reply.
