This is not as a diagnostic statement about Your car, but I've always found that when I don't want a noise to be the wheel bearing it Always is the wheel bearing.
Jack up each front wheel and spin it. Grab it at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and try to rock it. Try 6 and 12 o'clock. Any play or noise?
