I was recently corresponding with Len Hoffman owner of Hoffman Automotive Machine.
Http://www.hamheads.com about valve springs, and the subject of my 3.8 rebuild with bone stock 3.2 heads came up, and he said the following: (reposting with permission)

So, someone should probably tell one of the most knowledgeable experts on Porsche heads in the world that his knowledge of Porsche heads is “Rudimentary at best.”
