Some say it isn't accurate but my oil temp sender is installed in the driver valve cover in the same spot the factory oil pressure switch is installed on the other side.

My testing with durametric, which reads from the sump using a dual oil level/temp sensor, matched up to around 200/210F which was as hot as I got it while street driving during the test.

It's probably all relative but I can use it to get a sense of if the car is getting hotter, stabile, or cooling down.

I had taken some pictures with the durametric data and the gauge but lost it in a phone crash.
