I'm also hesitant to buy from someone who owned it for 5 years and didn't know they had a rear spoiler that extends at high speeds (I showed him how to put it up).

This does not sound like a 12k car. I'd expect A LOT of records from a caring owner for that price. Locally, this would be a $9-10k car at best.
