Nope.

It's $1700, not $1200. With labor, that's $3-$4k installed. Replacements engines can be bought for as little as $1000 running, $3-$4k rebuilt. A 3.2 just sold on this forum for $1500.
Yeah...a $3000-$4000 unproven part that's smaller than my fist is totally worth 1/2-1/3 the value of the entire car.

I don't think so.

If your IMSB fails, sell the car as a roller, combine that with the $3-$4k that you didn't spend on an unproven part, and just buy another.

Or just sell your car before your have an issue, combine that with your $3-$4k, and buy a car without an IMSB issue.

OR, quit worrying and just drive.
