Like you I had an MGB,Jensen and still have an E-Type. If you re planning to do diy repairs(not routine maintenance) on the Boxster you are in for an enormous shock compared to the "B"on reliability,complexity,access, tools & skills required, parts prices.depreciation,insurance. Imho there are better alternatives for U.K. but you are unlikely to get much support for that notion here !
