What are your goals? Sporty driving? Autocross? Track days.

225/45/17 works well.in the front, more grip, less understeer, and I think.it looks better too, a little wider

Max performance summer, I like (and am running) Sumitomo HTR Z III in 225/45 and 255/40/17. Very budget friendly.

Money no object? Michelin PS2.

Pole Position S-04, heard lots of good things.

Lots of really good max summer tires, and going to 225/45/17 really opens a lot more choices.
