If the check engine light being on all the time bothers you then either buy some used cats,

or gut the ones you have and get the electronic downstream O2 sensor simulators that fool the somputer by sending the proper signal for perfectly functioning cats. ~$65 each and plugs into the downstream sensor harness.
The cat matrix is ceramic so get out the hammer and a metal rod through the upstream O2 sensor hole and hammer away.

Or weld an aftermarket new cat in place (~$185 + welding)

Or get some sport cats $$$$
