RP - there is some difference in acceleration. My 1999 Carerra has 300 horses. The 987S has about 280 or more depending on year. I do miss the rear trunk already, but you definitely get more attention in a 911. My 911 cost considerably less than a 06 or 07 987S, but it is 6 or 7 years older. It is a personal choice. To early to judge long term but I really like the 911. I am still morniing my box though.
