nice job on the plates, but when I removed my stock speakers, they were already destroyed. I just used a coping saw to cut everything away except where the plug was and slid in the new speakers soldering them to the existing connectors. having used the 4" polk speakers, I used my belt sander to grind off the mounting ears and they dropped right into place.
