It is fairly common for the top microswitch to fail. I had to replace mine twice in 3 years (which I found to be almost uncomprehenisble in this day and age - I mean, its German right? Its not like its an Italian part!
). The only good thing is that as Porsche repairs go, this is a simple and relatively affordable one.
