How to Ruin a Perfectly Good Tire

Toyo RA1, shaved to 4/32's and heat cycled when new.

Two weeks ago was entering the Turn 9 right-hand buttonhook waaaaay too hot at the AutoClub Speedway Roval and somehow I locked up the right front and flatspotted it. Not sure what happened to my good friend Mr. ABS? Guess he decided to sit out that session? Anyway, it did make a very nice "blup-blup-blup" noise afterwards.

Another $275 lesson learned...
