POR-15 is the best I have found in over 40 years of fighting rust (I still have my '71 BMW 2002 that I bought new in '71, so I've had plenty of experience).

The reason this stuff works is because it actually uses moisture from the air to cure and has no solvent to evaporate as do most other products. You also don't have to remove all of the rust before applying it, just any that is flaking, etc... Use their original formula (black gloss) and you will be amazed at how well it stops the rust.


Also, don't get any on your skin. Once it cures, it's can't be removed with solvent, and can only be sanded off. Ouch!
