Once we'd reached the top the view on the other other side was much, much better. About a third of the way down, there was a fork in the road and rather than bear left (away from the summit and further into Italy) I turned right so in effect heading back round the Mountain to where we;'d started...and so so glad I did. 20 minutes of relentless downhill hairpins, awesome curves, sheer drops and smooth tarmac...apart from the sudden appearance of a Rally Stage!
