One more problem. While reconnecting the rods between motor and top links, I realized I'd cracked the clips which hold these rods to the links. I must have cracked them when disconnecting or reattaching them. I had to disconnect them so I could manually get the top down when the electrical method didn't work.
Anybody know where to get these clips?

That part number, called a "lock" or locking clip, is 999 166 075 02.
You can get it at your local dealer, or order it on the phone or online at Pelican Parts, Sunset Porsche (Portland, OR) at

or Suncoast Porsche (FL). The online dealers are usually much cheaper.
