the smoking is generally an AOS issue. most spec boxster guys mod the factory AOS and run a catch can type setup instead.

there IS an issue with this motor & right hand turns. because of the positioning of the head scavenge pumps, the oil pools in the left side heaed on sustained high g right handers. this can starve the sump. the best solution to this problem is a two liter accusump. LN engineering sells the oil filter adapter that will allow you to thread an accusump line between the oil filter & the block. this way, any drop in oil pressure will be stabilized by the accusump.
