Remember these are the same folks who have security cameras on every corner.
All for the "common good" of course.
It may be that if a manufacturer doesn't "approve" tires for use on your car, the tire (excuse me, "tyre") dealer may not be allowed to install them.
Their is a lot about liberty we Americans take for granted, and should not.
