That is a good tip. Once the tension is depressed all the way I start removing the belt from this pulley with no ridges. When I thread the belt back on that is also the last pulley to slide the belt under.
Of course that is not the way Porsche says to do it.....
The 83.5 belt is correct. But a new belt is stiff and hard to put in unless you have 3 hands. I am able to do it by myself because I use an 18" breaker bar to depress the tensioner and hold the breaker bar down with my leg. Then I am able to use both hands to thread the belt on.
