Wheel bearings can't cause tire wear unless they are almost completely shot, so jack up the side in question and try to rock the tire back and forth. No play? Look elsewhere. I had my car's alignment adjusted to the lowest limits of toe and camber (within the specs) and tire wear has almost stopped (was wearing out the inside of all four tires).

BTW make sure the alignment is done with the same amount of weight in the seats and trunks as you usually have.
