I checked my history book and you are correct sir, although this is missing the funky raised signal lights. He mentions that it has a body kit so that is what must move the signals to the front bumper. The 912 looks more like a 911. The 912 was also never sold outside of Europe despite its early popularity. It also was produced from 1965 to 1969 then reappeared again in 1975 for a one year production run with a larger 2L engine (tagged the 912E).

Another fun fact is a 912 Targa had the honor of being Porsche's 100,000th car to be made.
