It does the same functions & fits in the lockable center console storage area easily. I have it and it's never let me down. Check around on eBay,I ended up getting mine for $45 unopened and shipped.

My buddy has this one. I can attest that it DOES work with an 01 Boxster. I had a CEL back in January, and I used his code reader. (P1129 - reset it and it has not come back)

I like the OP's one, though, looks like it does have some code definitions in it. Although with this site and Renntech, you don't really need one that tells you what the code means. You just ask the Porsche forums!
