Oktoberfast, Hallett, OK - Spec Practice

Yesterday I went out to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit to check out Oktoberfast. Here's some video of the Spec Boxster's running practice.

I'm bummed I couldn't make it. I made up for it by taking mine to an autocross. Did you or Rick get out on the track?

Jon and I were both there, but neither of us drove any DE sessions. I was there Friday-Sunday. Jon, his wife and I met Saturday about noon.

They had about 25 Spec Boxsters. I spent part of each day working the black flag station in the hot pits and the rest of the time looking at cars and taking a lot of notes and pictures for my Spec car project.

I quickly realized looking at 25 spec cars, there are about 30 ways to do most things, but I came away with a lot of ideas for my build.

It was a very fun, very productive weekend.

Rick

I wish I could have had some track time, but there was no opportunity for novice track drivers. I'm planning to adjust my schedule for next year to get to a lot of autocross events and some more track time. I'm looking forward to whenever we do get to meet. Maybe I'll need a parts run to Bastrop during the next year.

We had a great time just being spectators and bumming around the track.
