1/4 mile street runs

Well, my work co-sponsored a drag racing event down near Temple, TX. It was at the Little River drag-way in Hammond. It's a 1/4 mile strip, and most of the high hp 700+) cars were having issues with grip. I was running a 7500rpm rev-limiter, which was making me shift to 4th about 10ft before the traps, so we raised it to 7800 so I could clear the traps in 3d.
