http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb4xJRMrAwA

Enjoy. The drag races at the end are impressive.

holy smokes that gt2 is faaaaast...considering all these camera men in the passenger seat, windows down during take-off, ****************ty starts and driving...and the conditions to top it off i can't believe they are running under 10 secs to 100 in that gt2...that is incredible. that thing will run close to 9 secs or even less with all that crap elliminated and a good driver. i would love to run one of those against my zx10r to see just how much i would take it by...the gap is closing between supercars and superbikes...some day there will be a street car that runs the 1/4 in well under 9 secs with all this electronic launch technology, until then i will spend 12k bucks to run 1/4 mile in 9 flat...you just cant beat the literbikes. i have done two 30-150 mph roll-ons against an 06 lambo murcielago and gave him a good 1 second headstart but he became real tiny in my rearview mirror real quick.

This video is incredible. He got to 62mph in 3.7 sec with a passenger and crosswind!! The Gt2 is just awesome. 0-100mph in under 8. Made that Z06 look like it was going backwards.

I also belong to the Corvetteforum and I may post this there just to mess with them. The Vette guys are so overly sensitive, defensive, and pompus. They think that their Vette's are the be all end all. They get all bent out of shape anytime some makes a comparison with Porsche.

Here is my promise to you about the Vette guys... they will say 1 of the 2 statements:

A) Psshh, yeah, but it cost more than twice as much...
B) Yeah, but a ZR1 would blow the GT2 out of the water...

They may also pull a combo:
A + B) Yeah, well when the new ZR1 comes out it will blow it out of the water for half the price.

The regular 997 Turbo can take the Z06.....

Not sure why they put it up against the GT2?

Not according to this video. The Z06 "yanked" the Turbo from a dig and roll. I like the redneck in the Z06 talking smack at the end. It's hilarious.

Just to show how well a 997 Turbo responds to mods, here is the same thing except with a tuned 997.
