It would explode your pelvis to put it lightly...

I got a new Evo intake kit. Let me tell ya, that thing was a ******************** to install. Not that it was very hard per say, but getting the resonance chamber off was a nightmare, and so was getting the air box out. First impressions, that thing is 400% louder, and some HP on the buttdyno. If its not any faster it at least makes the rear end hunker down more... ;) I uploaded 2 little vids to youtube, I will post them when they finish processing, or you can just check my youtube page. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=boggtown

Here are some pics, notice the billet aluminum plug where the resonance chamber was, and notice the sweet sweet carbon fiber, lol.

K, videos seem to work fine now.

I feel your pain

I do not know how you managed to get the airbox out!
I tried, ohh I tried.
Would have alleviated my pains changing the injectors if I'd gotten it out.
Well, gues I didn't try hard enough.

Don't have any hurries in changing to the cone filter.

Cheers.

Without taking the intake manifold off you will have to cut off the tube which houses the MAF. It would be pretty quick if you have a dremel, but I dont at my apartment so I had to break it off bit by bit with pliers.

Compared to the seats... how hard was it to install?

boggtown 09-13-2007 08:48 PM

Seats 1-10: 4 but long with lots of different tools.
intake 1-10: 6, long and tiring. A 4 if I had to do it again. The hard part is the baffle, the airbox is cake if you cut the tube off.

Just needed a comparison between the two... thanks.
