Car is going in for a 3M Wrap!

My car ended the season last year with a unpainted fiberglass hood, a clear lexan trunk lid, an unpainted fiberglass roof and a bumper that took an excursion down the front stretch of VIR at 120mph so to say the least its time to do something. The car is going in on the 27th to be wrapped with a Calder BMW art car design. I've always loved this look, we'll see if the rounded Boxster can pull off the same design.

Don't use 3M materials, they're garbage and that's experience talking from having 3 wraps done and 2 were in 3M.

now I gotta see that piece of Boxster art. That will skyrocket you on #1 of the Art-Gruppe.

Vinyl: 3M is fine (I am pretty confident), I used Oracal for my sides (that is sturdy stuff).
It all depends, what (full car or just parts) and how you wrap. If you are in doubt, ask the Pros, they will know for sure, what works.

Because experience counts for nothing, right?

Trust me, the guys i use to wrap my cars are "pros" and they now refuse to use 3m due to the number of bad reports and re-wraps they had to do. s6wraps.co.uk
Personally speaking mine chipped up on the front very easily and marked easily as well.
Contrasting to that the Arlon i have on the Boxster is polar opposite and has seen at least 10000 miles of daily driver usage and still looks as good as when it came out of the shop.

That is what I said, trust the experience of the pros from the workshop. What else can you do? Some say so, some say the opposite, whom to trust? The experience of a single person? Forums? It is very perspective.

Afterall it depends on the shop and what you want, matt, glossy, sturdieness, thickness, custom print...bla bla bla and costs.
The shop will offer the best solution for a custom print design, I am sure.

Or make life easy: Make a weathered design like those guys...AWESOME

Think i would mirror the design to prevent downfalling lines on the front and rear of the car.

Ya no kidding for the first time I’m nervous about the car! It’s not a good feeling. Thanks for the feedback guys.
