Boxster S 2001

Hey all,

This is my new to me Boxster s 2001 with 88k km its in pretty good condition.

Im planning on doing the IMS, water pump, air/oil separator, and a good full tune-up so me and the wife can have the peace of mind next year on r 4 weeks trip from Quebec to the west cost of the United States and then back to Quebec.( a 14000 km trip)

It a trip that we have planned, 2 years ago, doing it on motorcycles but I was in an accident last year and now got a rotator cuff destroyed!!!

I have always wanted a Posche 911 from the 80's but my budget in telling me ''no no''

So one morning ' my wife was looking at adds and came across this Boxster S and we decide to go and see it and it is now in my garage.

This is my first Porsche as im more of a Mercedes guy (C43 AMG 2017) is the family car and my work truck is a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon edition unlimited 2017.

I am Ready in love with the Boxster... I didn't know how fun a Porsche can be... I was really surprised on how that thing really goes until I took place in it... ( can't imagine how a 911 goes )

So I think im not done with the hole idea of that Porsche thing.

So thank for letting me in this forum, it full of good infos and very helpful .

Claude

Welcome Claude. Nice looking car. The trip you are planning sounds epic. My wife and I did a 2016 trip from Winnipeg to Vancouver Island and I thought that was epic!. Good luck with the car.

Congrats Claud!

I'm an Audi fan myself, but my Boxster S has transformed my thinking about my next car which will be a Porche again or just keep my Boxster for life

Welcome
I love those wheels as I have them as well
With all those items addressed you should be in good shape for a long trip.
I take mine on 2000+ mile road trips all the time and she seems to drive better each day.
I have driven 950+ miles 13+ hours down to Fla. in one day, 95+ degree heat without issue, except my face as it was all top down

Other trips, multi-day 380+ miles each day, loaded with hundreds of pounds of camping gear, again she just goes.

Enjoy the ownership

Epic is Good!!

Claude, the epic part is because it was such a great trip covering so many kilometres. The only issue I had was a dead battery after we arrived on the island and that was easily replaced. It was old and I likely should have replaced it before we left.

Other than that the car performed flawlessly. Driving through the Canadian Rockies, the Okanagen Valley and then along the Coquihalla was spectacular.

The PCA is having a Treffen in Banff next September and we are likely going to attend so that will be a great trip as well.
