Old school with the fried eggs, but they're from a 996, and the slight difference in the bezel looks more premium than the original headlamps.

An amateur photog grabbed some snaps of my Boxster from Cars & Coffee and Cars und Kaffee a couple weeks ago.

I tracked him, Anthony Greene, down on IG and he sent me the pics.
His instagram is @theautorama

They show the road grime incredibly well.

Great minds, RE: Pegasus.

I like how the Cayman retrofit looks on this color.

Maybe someday...

hey, I saw you had one too. I like it - subtle nod to Porsche racing heritage (not that a full set of martini stripes wouldn't be cool too). the z-top is a must-have for me and yeah, seems to work that much better in arctic silver.

So official terminology is Z-Top.

Got it. lol

the first iteration was called the zeintop after the vendor. he was a flake and someone else is making them now (drop-shipping from china I believe) and has shortened the name to z-top. $3k + paint.

Yeah, just looked it up on eBay, holy wow!

Lol I don't think I'm ready to drop that kind of loot on this car.

Kind of saving up for a 1983 SC or a C4 964/993.

The look like 18" Cayman S wheels. There was a 17" version that came on some base Caymans I believe, something like 17x6.5 and 17x8, but they looked slightly different. OK just looked them up, looked like they are:

17x7 ET55 987.362.125.03
17x8.5 ET 40 987.362.127.08

Here is one of the fronts - it almost looks like these wheels have good offsets for Boxsters, I've never seen this wheel in person before:

09-12 Porsche Cayman 987 7x17" ET55 Front Wheel OEM | eBay

Edit: from this Japanese Amazon page it looks like the rears might be ET 40. Good looking wheels

I don't know where the owner of that silver car above got his from, but I've spraypainted mine. Got hold of some thin, elastic masking tape, and went to town feeling like Chip Foose. Glossy black and clear.

I felt that the headlights were too large, so I thought maybe a surround in the color of the car, like on old 911's would be nice.
