Cleaned the wheels discs and calipers while in hibernation.

Nice. I use AutoGlym's Custom Wheel Cleaner, and give it a coat of wax. Seems to really do the trick!

Nice! Griot's Garage followed by Rejex for me. These cars produce a lot of brake dust!

Autoglym shampoo every second proper drive but only on the front and dry off.
The brake dust always returns so don't let it linger!
Occasionaly wheels off and I give the callipers a good brush clean and the disk drums.
Quick squirt of dressing on the P Zero's and it 's ready.
I think I have a clean wheel fetish!!!!

Hmm...I might grab that. I just started using sonax which is fantastic stuff. I'll try this protectant.

I use the Armor All product on my DD Honda and get pretty good results, but the Box produces much more brake dust. It was baked on to my 2003 wheels and took an aggressive cleaning to remove it. Ultimately, Groit's Garage worked best after trying a few other cleaners. Once I got them clean I tried Rejex at the suggestion of a board member who tracks his car and it seems to resist brake dust better than the Armor All product. Now its just easy rinse
maintenance to keep them clean.

As much as I like clean wheels, I'm done spending my money on expansive commercial prods. Not cheap these things :/

Here I'm mixing WD-40 with VERY hot water and brush the whole thing (rims, calipers, tires). Protects them from dirt accumulation (easier to wash later) and cleans the tires like nothing else. Give the tire a nice deep black finish also (similar to new tire color, i.e. natural rubber)

Needs to be hot to be effective. I boil the water before hand

That's right, literally. Spray WD-40 on the wheel/tire, wait 2-3 min, boil some tap water, put on rubber gloves, the brush the hell out of everything with a strong brush, and rise with the hose. Leave as-is, no soap, just rinse with water. Fascinating results.

Metal parts and tires will look brand spanking new. No more tire whitening/greying ever again for me thank you very much.... ruined one too many set of tires with these Tire Shine Pro a-like products :/ When I park in a parking lot everyone's tire are grey and mine are, well, healthy rubber color (black) lolll

Ha! Too funny! But true - wheels and tires do make the look of a car. And we all love and obsess over our 12-19 year-old cars.....my wife often sees a package at our doorstep and says "I can't believe you ordered something else for the Boxster."

Will try the WD40 scrub method. Sounds like the best way and sure looks the business!
