Just bought me a truck!

Last repair bill on my out of warranty 07 BMW 550i sent me off the edge bringing the repair cost total to 50% of the car's resale value. Thing only had 65k on it too and looked flawless. Pity the motor, transmission and suspension wasn't as pristine!

Anyhoo, I traded it Friday night for a 2010 F150 Platinum. I take delivery today or tomorrow (they're going through it to replace tires, hoses, belt, fluids, etc.). Should be a great vehicle for trailering the boxster to the track and to NC on vacation in the future

I'll post pics soon!

PS - I will never again own a BMW out of original factory warranty. Lesson learned!

gmboxster, you may be right on that! However, I learned a lot from my Boxster purchase. Bought a very low mileage CPO BMW that had no problems for four years until the extended warranty ran out and then everything started failing and cracking, etc.

Some of it has to do with Houston. Our roads are horrible and our oven like temperatures and humidity levels can't be good for a vehicle's rubber bushings and plastic bits.

My hope is that this good old American truck will treat me better!
