The P O R S C H E letters should be bigger than BOXSTER S letters in my opinion.
Most people won't know any different so go with it but I pay attention to everything.
Cheers

in all honestly, the only few that will think my PORSCHE letters look odd are a few enthusiasts on here maybe. just about every one sitting behind me in traffic locally will think ' I wish I had his car and not my Ford Mondeo"

This is true
I wasn't trying to give you a hard time, just giving my opinion and pointing out Whip's contradiction. Anyway, it still looks better than stock. I've never been a fan of the stock "Boxster" script.

I prefer no lettering, if I had a 981 the letters would be in the for sale forum.

Perfect Answer
I've been asked if my Box was a Carrera! And it still says Boxster in the back in the subdued black lettering.
That is the best reason I've heard to go 986 badging though!
I once overheard two guys upon seeing my 986 badge get into an argument over whether a 986 was a 968 or a 911 roadster.
I had to laugh to myself because if you consider the engine as one part, 70% of the part numbers are from the 99-01 Carrera and the Boxster in theory replaced the 968.[/QUOTE]

I'm generally a "less is more" guy, but I really like how these have come out!

Generally speaking, our eyes prefer a 'congruence of lines'. This produces uniformity and keeps us calm. Obtuse forms divide 'our eyes' and causes a love it or hate it divide. The cars that are considered to be the most beautiful of all time, have smooth flowing and congruent lines. This is important in a beauty contest but maybe not on our own prized possessions. Also, the more lines, the more distraction, hence the 'less is more' philosophy. My baby's naked, for now. Chrome Porsche letters are probably in it's future though.
I'm glad you're enjoying your car Tom. Those wheels are not easy to refinish though...2- piece...
