Talking My '99 AS/B/B

Recently bought my first Boxster and I love it. It's a 1999, AS/Blk/Blk.

Talking Boxster at Mission San Luis Rey

Another nice day in San Diego County. This is a shot of the Boxster at the Mission San Luis Rey about 2 miles from where I live.

Unhappy Img tags not working

Yeah, I noticed that too. I thought if you put something between "[img]"......"[/img]" it would show the image. But, I just now noticed that [IMG] code is off. Can you turn that on Jorge? Or, is there a reason you have it turned off? HTML is also turned off.

Alternatively, you can just attach an image to a post by browsing to it on your hard drive and it apparently just uploads the image. Kinda cool. I did not understand how that worked at first, but now I get it.

So here's another recent picture. Mission San Luis Rey and the Boxster. More to show the beautiful mission this time.

I feel sorry for anyone on a dialup though, these pictures are huge. Perhaps we can have people resize their pictures and save them for the web to reduce the sizes. We do this over at the Mac forum I frequent out of consideration to those on dialup and to conserve bandwidth.

Reducing image size

OK, here is what I am talking about. I have reduced my image to 50% original size and then saved it for web. This trims the image down from 420k to about 40k. Something to think about.

Very nice pictures. I didn't know there was such thing as a blue sky. I thought it was only gray.

Anyway,

I especially like the color of your car.

Cool Gray sky

Yes, we have the grey here too a lot in the morning and the evening, coastal layer. June is especially that way, we call it June gloom around here. But, most days, the layer burns off by 9 or 10 AM and we have blue skies! Arctic Silver is nice on the Boxster, I think your last two have been the same color, right?

The Seal Grey I have seen is nice too, also like the black of course.

Wink Re: I'll try the upload...

How did you get that effect on the picture? Kinda looks like an electrical charge running all through the car.

Ken's Pics

Ken,

Cool site!! The "wet" look is rather unique. How do you do it?

Wet Look?

I'm not sure what you mean? Which picture has a "wet" look? Are you talking about on the home page or in the Pictorials section or the Gallery section?

I am referring to the opening pic -- kind of looks wet, somewhat distorted.

Photodraw

That is some effect from Photodraw which isn't on the market anymore, something to do with highlighted edges or something, I'm sure that photoshop could do something similar, I was just playing around one day with a photo and liked the way that came out...

hope that helps...
