I absolutely love the black rims on a silver car! Nicely done . . . however, that color combo really needs clear corners/red&white tails/litronics to finish it off.

My thoughts exactly on the clear markers and tail lamps. This would look incredible
on this car. I love the black rims. Did you buy them black or have them power coated etc .
Nice work!

thanks for all the input, i appreciate it. Clear corners/ litronics i would like to do, but is it expensive ? She's pretty new to me , so i need to save some money up for rainier days. Need to swap that radio out first and have been thinking of putting the stock shifter back in. ... in due time
The rims are black from the factory. they are CCW wheels.

I just did litronics, clear corners, clear side markers and red and clear tail lamps. Made my 97 look like a showroom new car to me anyway. Price? About $1,700.00 with shipping and handling.
I did it because I no longer have "newer boxster" envy, and I went from liking the amber on my black box to hating it in about a month, so an amberectomy was in order.
But now I'm broke. I hope she doesn't break down!
Just saw this auction on Ebay... a cheap way to do an amberectomy with clear tail lamps, side markers and clear headlams with clear corners:

Suspension envy
that set up would put in with the GT3 and GT2's in Autocross so I'll have to skip a full coil over set up.
Side skirts are must have, really adds about $10,000 to the look. I got mine from Precisionporsche.com because I wanted the second gen 996 GT3 look which isn't available for the Boxster through Porsche.
Here's a Silver 996 GT3 Club Sport with black wheels. I have the same bumper($900) and will add the GT3 RS inlets and lower lip spoiler.

I got the Porsche factory GT3 bumper from an ebay seller although I recall doing a search once on Yahoo and finding it for $900. Shipping is proably another $100-$150.
My local autobody quoted me $700 for the paint and install. I've been hesistant about who to trust to cut out the RS intakes so its been sitting in the corner for now. That lower lip spoiler is called the SuperCup lip spoiler from the racing series and can be had for under $200. Try DEVEK (928 specialists) or the Racer's Group.
THat lip spoiler is actually cheaper than the smaller street version.
