GT3 Tek Spyder diffuser Update!
 

I just received my GT3 tek spyder rear diffuser. Here is a quick pic I just took of the fitment. It fits great! A tiny bit of prep on it and then paint. The other pic is from their site. Please no opinions on my car until it is painted.

Would look even better if it didn't have the two big rubber things stuck either side of your licence plate

Danger - I was out for a cruise on my trail bike. Did 6 miles on the road fast and wanted to die. LOL

Getting painted next Thursday should have it back on over the weekend. Along with a new exhaust coming. We'll see how long I keep on this exhaust. I always wind up back with a stock S muffler. This will be my third aftermarket.

Agreed. If I didn't have a square plate I would fill up that space.

I bought it direct from gt3tek.com I called them. Very nice and easy to deal with.

I didn't take any side shots. I will once it is on. The piece is supposed to go to paint on Thursday. So figure maybe next monday or something I should get it back.

How does it mount?

Yes it mounts of the stock bumper.

I've been debating on getting the gt3 diff but don't know how it would look like on a black car. Please post pics up when you get a chance.

Went to pick Up my diffuser today and the joke of a body shop didn't listen and painted the whole thing. Like the diffusers that are supposed to be lef flat. So take two on the paint shop.

Just installed the GT3 Tek diffuser. Fits like a glove. The paint shop made it right and flat blacked the diffusers. I like the look over all. I will take it out of the garage for some more shots maybe later on. Let me know what you think.

Man that turned out nice and you are right in pushing for the flat black. The other would have looked nice, but not had the look this does.

Side note: was great having lunch with you the other day and I hope the weekend was a success!

Looks functional. I always thought the earlier bumpers looked a little empty down there.

More shots. Top up and down. I think it ties in nice with the contours of the side skirts and front bumper.

God I love it. Do anyone think it'd look silly if I had the stock body and this diffuser? On a sliver 2002 S.

Wow, that actually looks really good Jaay! I wasn't so crazy about how it looks like on their silver shop car, but looks really good on yours!

I'm working on them to do a group buy if any one is interested.

I'm in if you can get a group buy going on. I was going to buy the diffuser a few months back, but never did. I think GT3tek is one of the venders for another forum also. When I called them, the guy on the phone seemed pretty cool. Hopefully he can work something out for us.

As long as it won't look goofy with the other stock panels, I am 99.9% in.

The diffuser looks balanced and proportional with the rest of the vehicle . Good job !

That's the money shot! It balances out the rear with the skirts. I have to order one for my project boxster as I've always hated how the rear didn't flow with the side skirts.

I'm going to put that on my wish list for Christmas. I have a lapis blue 986 so think it would blend in great. I'm not crazy about the seam on the silver car. The paint looks too different.. I'll be installing the aero kit 2 skirts in the next two weeks and am looking for an oem gt3 front bumper.

The wheels do not rub. There eBay knock offs. I don't remember the offsets but I have no issues.
